Monkton: Two Birds, One Stone
Well, actually, that’s one cat, some fruitbats - and one blog-post. Hopefully the cat will keep the bats distracted while I take aim…

First up for today’s gentle stoning is London-based Rescue Cat, who’s new offering ‘£10 Bag’ takes us on a late night cruise through 80s computer games, heroin and childhood (and we’ve all been there right?) - it’s homespun electro with a soft centre - like Hot Chip, but with less toys and more heart - and you can pick it up now on iTunes. Meeeow -

Next up, and flying in the face of the 80s revival, is Fruit Bats, whose unusual friend lately turned up at the label that knows no vowels - we’ve got a dash of 70s era guitar & piano rock and another of swooning 90s chords - I like it and it’s FREE FREE FREE. Free.

And no, I do not know what noise a bat makes - a sonar-y rodent-y squeak I guess…
Cheerio
