Planklog: Headphone Albums
head⋅phone al⋅bum [hed-fohn al-buhm]
Noun. An album that comes into its own when observed through headphones.
These albums sit there in your music library, in an altogether unassuming manner. You’ve probably listened to them several times through your speakers, or tinny earphones, and not really grasped what the fuss is about. Then, one day, you happen to listen to such an album with your headphones… suddenly it becomes so clear. This music is incredible.
To my shame, I’ve had The Glow, Pt. 2 by The Microphones for over a year and only a week or two ago did I actually listen to it through headphones. What an album!
